Job Description:

As a Hub Room Technician at [Your Company Name], you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting audit and cable clean-ups of hub rooms to maintain a well-organized and efficient network infrastructure.
  • Documenting cabling and hub room setups to create accurate records for future reference.
  • Performing cable replacements and running new cables within hub rooms to connect switches and other network equipment.
  • Assisting in the decommissioning of network equipment when necessary.
  • Configuring Cisco switches to optimize network performance.
  • Conducting MAC/VLAN lookups and effectively managing network cables.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Background in basic networking with experience in Cisco switch configuration.
  • Proficiency in performing MAC/VLAN lookups and cable management.
  • Willingness to work after hours, including potential overnight shifts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.

Working Hours:

The position will require after-hours availability due to the nature of the work, with 8-hour workdays that may occasionally extend into overnight shifts. This flexibility allows for a dynamic work schedule that is not limited to the standard 9am to 5pm hours.
