Infrastructure Engineer - Azure
The Client & Role:
We’re currently working with a Transport & Logistics company based in the north-west suburbs, they currently have a requirement for an Infrastructure Engineer to join on an initial 6-month engagement.
As the Infrastructure Engineer you will be coming on to deliver technology integration initiatives following a recent merger. This role will suit an experienced engineer with a broad technology background who is equally as comfortable with a hands on role as they are with guiding vendors to deliver defined outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure solution design
- Participate in estimation and planning
- Deliver technology outcomes for key initiatives
- Data Centre rationalisation and movement
- Platform set-up and migration of systems/data
- Troubleshoot problems associated with infrastructures and systems
- Work with the operations team to solve service performance issues
- Help maintain and support IT infrastructure, including establishing good practice processes
- Manage and guide partners and vendors on behalf of the company
Required Skills & Specialisms:
- Excellent analytical thinking skills and technology familiarity
- Proficiency in
- Network infrastructure
- Shared storage systems
- Back-up and Recovery
- Server Administration
- Cloud infrastructure services (Azure)
- Active Directory and identity services (LAPS desirable)
- Able to maintain infrastructure performance, scalability and security for smooth operations
- Knowledge of managing and maintaining end-user devices
- Basic understanding of project delivery methods and ability to deliver as part of a team
