This leading creator of next generation displays, and retail merchandising solutions is looking for an experienced Detail Designer to join their team.
With injection molding and 3D printing at your fingertips for prototypes and a production team on speed dial, these designers have a great opportunity to spread their detail wings, whilst maintaining a high level of client partnership, project control and detailed craft to their work.
Bring conceptual display creations to life, through a high standard of industrial design delivery, ensuring detail design documentation is accurate, actionable, current and able to be delivered by the production team, whilst meeting client’s needs.
The role will see you:
Ensuring that detail design elements, such as drawings and bill of materials, meets client and production standards
Managing within the agreed detail design process and timelines for all projects, health and safety of design staff and contractors
Demonstrating detailed design output development and supervision of any assisting designer’s work
Producing detailed design documents, bills of material, design drawings and specification
Liaising with suppliers as required and collaborating with both on and offshore teams, daily.
Generating die-lines and client art-work set-up
Ensuring the quality of all detail design deliverables
Ensuring specific Detail design job quality and accuracy, continuous detail design cycle process improvement, whilst keeping to the Detail design job cycle time
You will bring :
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in comparable detail design
Strong understanding of Detail design methods and standards
Excellent written, drawing, and verbal communication skills
Strong business and financial acumen
Excellent scheduling and time management skills
Bachelor’s in industrial design degree and experience in Point of Sale display design is essential
Citizenship or Permanent Residency, with full working rights in Australia
Based just north and in easy reach of the CBD, the designers enjoy a flexible working environment working from home on Mondays and Fridays and plenty of free parking on site when in the office.
