This is a brand-new role that has been created to work on a CRM software replacement project. The preferred candidate for this role will show a keen understanding and experience analysing, proposing, and mapping out processes to assist the Project Manager throughout the project.

Position Summary
The Lutheran Church seeks a dedicated and experienced Business Analyst to review and document business processes, requirements and user stories that align with the project scope to improve business systems and to align solutions with the Church requirements, organisational strategies and plans.
Objective of position
The ICT Business Analyst for the Lutheran Church is responsible for identifying, analysing, and documenting business requirements and processes to improve systems and align ICT solutions with the organization’s goals and strategies. This role ensures that the business needs are met through the implementation of technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
As a Business Analyst you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

- Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Collect, analyse, and document detailed business and functional requirements, including EPICs and user stories, ensuring they align with the church’s objectives and ICT strategy.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their needs, facilitate the prioritization of initiatives, and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Process Improvement: Identify and evaluate existing business processes and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness using best practices and industry standards.
- Documentation: Ensure comprehensive and consistent documentation of business processes, requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with ICT and other departments to design and implement technology solutions that meet business requirements and enhance service delivery.
- Project Support: Support ICT projects by providing detailed analysis, preparing business cases, and ensuring project alignment with business goals.
- Change Management: Facilitate change management processes by evaluating the impact of proposed changes, ensuring stakeholder buy-in, and documenting new processes.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in the testing of ICT solutions to ensure they meet the specified requirements and deliver the expected business benefits.
Required qualifications, skills and qualities
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, preferably within an ICT environment. Experience in a not-for-profit or church organization is an advantage.
- Certifications: Certification in business analysis or project management is desirable.
- Ethical Integrity: Commitment to the values and mission of the Lutheran Church.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Team Player: Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
