Talent International has an opportunity for a Developer to join our Client, a large State Government Department.

  • Initial contract until June 2024 plus extensions
  • Based in Brisbane CBD with 2 days WFH p/w
  • Rates are flexible and happy to give guidance

About the role:

As the Developer, you will make enhancements and provide support to an existing web interface utilised by the Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement application enhancements as per business requirements.
  • Contribute to test plan development and system testing.
  • Prepare application releases to TEST, UAT and PROD environments as per departmental processes.
  • Undertake application support as required.
  • Work within the following spaces: React, JavaScript, Java, HTML, Oracle, IBM
  • WebSphere, Maven, REST APIs
  • Work with guidance from local Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other technical
  • specialists to analyse, design and assess technical solution designs and software
  • development approaches.
  • Work with the project manager and SMEs to effectively manage technical risks, issues,
  • conflicts, and priorities to complete work within required deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to the project
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting of work progress as directed.


  • Demonstrated experience in developing web interfaces, specifically working with React, JavaScript, Java, HTML, Oracle, IBM Websphere,
  • Demonstrated experience in providing Application Support for web-based applications.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse
  • teams.
  • Prior experience using WebSphere application server and Oracle database.
