A leading Entertainment organisation is seeking an Employee Relations Compliance Specialist to join their team for an initial 6 month contract opportunity. As the Employee Relations Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a robust compliance strategy and framework for Employee and Industrial Relations, with a key focus on wage and entitlement compliance.
In this role you will be a trusted advisor for the business to support compliance concerns and provide valuable insight on management strategies to do with Employee and Industrial Relations.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Specialist Compliance Support: Provide specialized assistance to the Employee Relations Consultancy program and industrial relations projects
- Wage and Entitlement Compliance: Support compliance projects by offering key industrial relations insights, including reviewing employee classifications and providing interpretations of instrument clauses
- Internal Policies and Industrial Laws: Ensure adherence to internal policies and relevant industrial laws, including payroll, FWA, EA, immigration, and other regulatory requirements
- Governance and Frameworks: Develop sustainable governance frameworks and systems to enable industrial compliance and successful implementation of industrial relations strategies
- Industrial Instrument Support: Provide advice and support on Industrial Instrument compliance, interpretation, and implementation
- Ongoing Audits: Conduct regular audits of high-risk business practices to identify areas for improvement, enhance controls, and eliminate unnecessary processes
- Legislation Impact Assessment: Review and evaluate potential impacts of changing legislation or revised interpretations of FWA, EA, etc
- Collaboration and Improvement: Work closely with ER Consultancy Manager to identify and implement strategies for continuous improvement in people practices and risk mitigation
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with all industrial legislation, instruments, Right of Entry (ROE) permits, WHS permits, and union compliance
About you:
- Experience on Wage Compliance initiatives and projects in a large and complex organisation
- Experience (5+ years) in Employee Relations or HRM, providing workplace relations advisory
- Experience working in a complex organisation or employee association/legal firm
- A demonstrated understanding of relevant workplace legislation, regulation and enterprise agreements
- Demonstrated experience providing HR advisory support for business leaders and employees
