- Property Capital Work Director – EL2 equivalent
- Contract Term: Initial 12 Months contract + possible extension.
- $754.20 per day + Super based on 7.5 hours per day
- Deakin Office location with flexible working option available
About the Role
The Corporate, Information, and Property Services Branch is responsible for the delivery of centralised corporate services across the Agency, including delivering and managing the Agency’s physical property portfolio, corporate services and shared services arrangements with Services Australia.
The Property team manage the delivery and maintenance of the NDIA properties, the associated fit-out of sites and capital works. This includes the coordination of maintenance and repair work, site establishment, decommissioning and relocations. The management of leasing of standalone sites and co-located arrangements with other federal departments.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Leading and managing detailed and sensitive property projects.
- Managing end-to-end construction project management including, planning, design, approvals, procurement, delivery and handover.
- Writing business cases, plans, executive briefs, project reports, status updates and exception reports.
- Developing research and analysis, including the preparation of draft reports on project activities.
- Managing the project budgets, reviewing and reporting on expenditure.
- Identifying and managing program governance including the management of project risks, issues and benefits.
- Establishing and managing procurement and contracts for the delivery of the programme and monitor contractor performance.
- Leading and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and encourage high performance and collaborative behaviours.
Skills and Experience
- Property capital projects experience with complex scope.
- Relevant experience in project leadership and management roles.
- Qualification in Project Management
- Deep knowledge of Project Management and Construction management systems and principles.
- Major programmes change and rollout. (Desirable)
Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
