About the Company
Our client is a highly reputable Australian Higher Education Institution located within Sydney’s CBD.

About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing compliance assurance operations to ensure the services provided by the University Infrastructure unit are well designed, fit for purpose, and meet legislative requirements & organisational policies, whilst maintaining a continuous improvement approach. You will provide subject matter expertise regarding legislative requirements, assess gaps, lead and implement appropriate changes.

Requirements

  • 4 + years’ experience in operational WHS compliance within high-risk environments is essential
  • Must have hands-on safety management practitioner experience as opposed to just hands-off compliance experience
  • Must have experience in the construction industry (or mining, or heavy industry)
  • Experience in safety and quality management is essential including auditing and/or compliance reviews
  • Data analytics experience is highly desirable
  • Experience using/familiarity with data/automation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Sharepoint or similar is highly regarded
  • Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills

Terms

  • 3 year initial fixed-term contract with strong potential to convert to perm
  • Paying up to approx. $154K package ($132K + 17% super/$138K + 11% super) commensurate with skills and experience
  • Must be able to come into the office 5 days per week for the first 3-4 weeks and then it will become flexible
  • Must have PR or Australian Citizenship
