
Commercial Analyst
This large government body is seeking a Commercial Analyst to take responsibility for Software Asset Management and Finance function. You will have a monitoring, reporting, analytical and service support focus, therefore keen attention to detail will be critical to the success of this role.
Key accountabilities
- Maintain a Definitive Software Library, downloading & distributing software media and managing software licence keys
- Work closely with stakeholders responding to queries in relation to licensing knowledge and ensuring appropriate software licenses are available prior to deployment
- Monitor compliance risks and coordinating housekeeping and optimisation activities identifying opportunities for cost savings
- Assisting in software audit activities
- Administration of financial registers regarding acquisition, movement and disposal of assets
- Produce analysis of registers and histories of authorised assets
- Interact with suppliers, other teams and customers on a daily basis
- Meet team KPIs and reporting requirements
Skills and experience
- Previous experience supporting IT supply chain management across a variety of process and functions, particularly in the areas of IT supply, software license, support and services agreements
- Experience in asset life-cycle management, process improvement and compliance
- Working knowledge of the fundamental concepts and procedures used in a purchasing and asset management environment
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders with the ability to liaise with external parties
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
- Strong data analysis and manipulation skills including MS Excel and other reporting tools
- Self-motivated, tenacious with ability to work independently
- Understanding of contract language
- Knowledge of ServiceNow is desirable, but not essential
