Talent International is searching for an experienced Change Lead to join our client in the Education Sector based in St Lucia, Brisbane on an contract until 29th July 2025 on a part-time basis (20 hours per week).

The role:
The primary purpose of the Change Lead is to undertake the change management, training and communication activities needed to support business readiness for the successful implementation of the Timetabling and Room Booking Software solution.

Key Activities:

  • Applying the agreed change management approach/methodology to project change and communications activities.
  • Providing change management advice to facilitate the effective and efficient delivery of project deliverables and outcomes.
  • Evaluating the level of change/user readiness and undertaking appropriate actions to enable satisfactory business readiness for each Go Live, followed by post Go Live support for impacted staff.
  • Developing relationships with key stakeholders, including those most impacted by the change activity.
  • Identifying areas of anticipated stakeholder resistance; designing then executing appropriate change management approaches and activities with other project team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

A degree (preferably in Information Technology, Law, Commerce or Business) with subsequent relevant experience working in or supporting a large IT department; or extensive experience and specialist expertise in ICT Procurement for large organisations; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

Skills:

  • A solid understanding of people and process issues when implementing information technology change across an organisation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in planning and preparing change communications, including the development of key messages and effective dissemination to diverse audiences using a variety of communication channels.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivery of outcomes, and a self-motivated, positive and enthusiastic approach to achieving goals through effective team and individual work.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to influence resistant or change-adverse stakeholders and groups

Experience:

  • Experience and a demonstrated ability in managing change within a large and/or complex organisational context.
  • Previous change management experience within a tertiary and/or research institution would be highly valued.
  • Experience in consulting, partnering with and coaching senior leaders and stakeholders to deliver change outcomes.

Key deliverables:

  • Verifying the current change impact assessment and refining relevant change management plans and activities.
  • Identifying, analysing, preparing and executing risk mitigation activities together with other project team members and stakeholders.
    Assisting with the development and delivery of training materials and sessions as appropriate to the change activity.
  • Developing implementation support and handover tools to ensure reinforcement and sustainability of the change, including benefit realisation planning and post implementation review
