About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst for a 12-month contract to join a dynamic team delivering an Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution for a commercial client. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to gather and analyze business requirements, ensuring that the IAM solution aligns with the client’s security needs and business goals.

In this role, you will facilitate the translation of business requirements into functional specifications, manage stakeholder communications, and support the end-to-end project lifecycle. Your ability to interpret complex business challenges and ensure that the IAM solution provides robust, secure, and user-friendly access control will be crucial to the project’s success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements for the IAM solution, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define and refine project scope, use cases, and business processes.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs.
  • Assist in developing user stories, process flows, and wireframes to support the design and implementation of the IAM solution.
  • Conduct gap analysis to identify and address discrepancies between current systems and desired IAM outcomes.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to validate requirements and provide status updates.
  • Assist in the identification and mitigation of project risks related to business requirements and processes.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by developing test cases, coordinating testing efforts, and gathering feedback from stakeholders.
  • Provide ongoing support to stakeholders post-implementation, ensuring the IAM solution meets business needs and security standards.
  • Document and communicate changes in project requirements and ensure they are reflected in the project plan.
  • Collaborate with project managers to track progress, manage timelines, and ensure successful project delivery.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in technology projects, ideally within Identity and Access Management (IAM) or security-related initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of IAM concepts, including identity lifecycle management, access control, single sign-on (SSO), and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Experience gathering and analyzing business and functional requirements and translating them into actionable specifications.
  • Ability to work closely with technical teams and bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation.
  • Familiarity with IAM platforms such as Okta, Ping Identity, Microsoft Azure AD, or similar technologies is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in creating process documentation, flowcharts, user stories, and business cases.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT or security-focused projects.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is highly desirable.
