  • Location: Canberra, ACT (Onsite)
  • Security Clearance: NV2 Cleared (Mandatory)
  • Contract Length: 12 months + 2 * 12-month extensions (Subject to Department’s discretion)

About the position:

Our Federal Government client is seeking experienced Backup and Storage Server Engineers to join their Infrastructure and Operational Support Branch. This is a critical role supporting the Server and Storage Section (VSS), responsible for delivering and maintaining enterprise-wide infrastructure across both domestic and international environments.

You will work across a range of virtualised platforms, with a strong focus on Windows Server, VMware, Nutanix, Commvault, and Dell storage technologies, while contributing to the modernisation and automation of existing infrastructure.

Key responsibilities of the position:

  • Deliver complex technical outcomes as a senior specialist within the Server and Storage domain.
  • Implement and support Commvault, Dell Data Protection, and Apex Druva backup solutions.
  • Manage and modernise cloud backup and data protection technologies.
  • Deploy and support Microsoft Server 2019/2022 solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Implement and support virtualised environments across a global network.
  • Provide end-to-end infrastructure solutions and documentation.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience managing complex backup and storage environments.
  • Expertise in cloud-based backup solutions.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows Server 2019 and 2022.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware and Nutanix virtualisation technologies.

Desirable skills & experience:

  • Proven success working collaboratively within technical teams.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
