
Assistant Director, Business Application Support (Salesforce)
The opportunity
Our client is a large federal government agency. They are seeking an EL1 Assistant Director, Business Application Support to join on a long term contracting basis lead an applications support team that supports enterprise systems including the new PACE system, Salesforce, and other business and integrated applications.
- 12 month contract plus 12 month extensions
- Richmond based, with 3 days in the office per week, and flexible arrangements for 2 days
- Daily rate up to $1000 per day
The role
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Lead a team of specialist ICT resources in a complex and critical enterprise environment
- Assist with directorate strategy, planning, prioritisation, and delivery
- Perform day-to-day team management, employing Agile methodology and managing team sprints
- Investigate and resolve issues raised to the team and operate using ITIL framework
- Build strong relationships with various business and technical team leads, engaging with them to deliver team outcomes, including facilitating and delivering workshops
- Coordinate required change and release management tasks for the team, including prioritisation, development, testing, business engagement, and governance
- Implement and operate mature monitoring capabilities across the integrated environment landscape
- Vendor and commercial management
- Conduct service transition activities to successfully transition project developed functionality into BAU operations and support
- Develop operational processes and procedures
- Undertake and enforce governance activities and control implementation
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- On-call duties as required
About you
The successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing an ICT support team, delivering support for complex business applications/systems
- Experience with Salesforce platform
- Demonstrated experience using Agile methodology to run and manage team sprints
- Demonstrated experience managing both business and technical stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to apply deductive reasoning, consider the bigger picture, architecture, and stakeholder impacts
- Able to remove blockers and clear paths forward for your team members, driving actions through to completion to achieve required outcomes
- Have a flair for data analysis and system monitoring, and strong process development and documentation skills
- Ability to balance technical dependencies and business requirements
- Comfortable with new ways of thinking about accessibility and enthusiastic about accessible design & development will be highly regarded
