Talent is pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Tyler as Chief Strategy Officer of its APAC operations.


Ian joins Talent with over 17 year’s Technology & Digital Recruitment Industry experience that has seen him in prior roles as Global Managing Director of Xpand Group, Managing Director of Adecco Group’s Technology businesses and previous national roles with Davidson and Hudson. Ian has a blend of skills that spans the entire Technology & Digital landscape both across recruitment and the managed solutions ecosystems. Ian will initially commence working in the Asia region prior to returning to Australia in early 2017.

Ian’s specialties including business establishment and growth, go-to-market strategy, sales & operational effectiveness and creating new services for facilitating growth, change and disruption in the recruitment sector. Ian is a welcome addition to Talent APAC executive team as Talent continues on its successful 5 year global growth trajectory.

Ian’s role at Talent will include deeper expansion of Talent’s client base, charged with growth and new services line creation across APAC and the broader global business. This will include broadening Talent’s digital capabilities and further development of Talents new technology platform “Talent Engage” for supporting and developing the Digital & Tech contractor workforce.

Ian will work with the executive, board and broader leadership team across Talent to chart a growth strategy and to ensure that Talent continues to break from the pack and lead innovation and develop new services in our industry.

Tyler joins the business during a period of exceptional growth for Talent, who achieved record contractor numbers in 2016 and a 25% increase in EBITDA across its global business.

Tyler’s appointment follows a succession of senior appointments and promotions across Talent’s APAC business including the appointment of Jiun Chan, Managing Director of Talent’s Hong Kong operation, the promotion of Bianca Jones to New Zealand Country Manager and the appointment of Simon Mansfield as Cybersecurity APAC practice lead.
