Talent International New Zealand took part in the first ever IT18 conference held in Auckland, New Zealand on the 29 and 30 April. An innovative event, focused on Talent Management in the technology sector, set the scene for Managing Director and Founder Richard Earl to take to the stage on day one of the conference.

Richard gave a compelling speech on New Zealand’s potential for growth in the technology sector. Explaining the backdrop for Talent International’s partnership with some of the world’s leading entrepreneurs, Talent International is helping to address the lack of activity in the APAC region with the Talent Unleashed Awards. “It’s clear we need a collective solution to drive technological innovation and business in New Zealand,” Richard said.

“Hopefully we can draw attention to a problem many of our leaders have recognised but not acted upon. We need to connect the venture capitalists with the people who have the ideas. We need to highlight the individuals bringing about positive change in technology every day. And we need to actively promote our industry in our region so that we too receive the same opportunities as our counterparts in the United States. This is our role.”

“It is obvious that the future is very clear for us – the technology sector will be at the forefront of change and growth – and now is the time to act.”
