Talent has claimed two major titles at the 2018 SEEK Annual Recruitment Awards (SARAs).

APAC CEO Mark Nielsen has been named Australian Recruitment Leader of the Year, while Talent picked up Large Recruitment Agency of the Year.

The achievement marks the fifth time in the past six years that Talent has been recognised with this award, and the 11th SARA win for the business in the past decade.

Judged by an independent panel of industry leaders, the SARA awards acknowledge Talent’s commitment to workplace culture, innovation, candidate engagement, commercial growth and contribution to the success of the recruitment industry.

Mark Nielsen said, “We’re extremely proud and humbled by the recognition Talent has received through the SEEK awards.”

“This has only been made possible by the passion and drive of the Talent team who always give their best and truly embody our values – to lead the way, strive for better and give a damn.”

According to SEEK, the recruitment leader award represents someone with an excellent ability to foster relationships, solve problems, communicate effectively, and adapt to change.

April Marcot, Head of People & Culture at Talent said the award is testament to Mark’s commitment to making Talent the best place to work.

“In over 20 years of working with CEO’s I have never worked with anyone like Mark. His profound understanding of the impact a great culture can have on business, as well as an acute understanding of numbers and general business acumen makes him truly unique.  Engaged, happy, connected employees are high performers. Mark knows this and works very hard to ensure that our business is focused on creating an engaging, high performance, diverse culture,” Marcot said.

Talent has also been nominated for two awards at the New Zealand SEEK awards. Bianca Jones is a finalist for Recruitment Leader of the Year and Talent New Zealand is nominated for Medium Recruitment Agency of the Year. The winners will be announced on November 22.

These awards follow an incredibly successful year for Talent, after receiving APSCo’s 2018 Corporate Social Responsibility Award and HRD’s Gold Medal Employer of Choice Award.
