The Capital, which opened its doors in October 2016, is a Brisbane City Council initiative to ensure Brisbane’s burgeoning start-up community has a focal point to nurture and expand ideas. To assist start-ups based at The Capital (and at Little Tokyo Two’s other Queensland based hubs) with finding high demand specialist resources, Talent will provide recruitment services to all members of The Capital community, including Little Tokyo Two at a significant discount.
As part of the agreement, Talent has committed to taking a full time desk at The Capital to ensure we are readily available and on hand to provide recruitment support and services to the start-up community. This ranges from advice for how to attract top talent, retain the best staff, reviewing potential candidates and helping with HR policies and procedures. Any Little Tokyo Two or members in The Capital looking for recruitment assistance or advice can contact Flavia Gentile or Sam Needs. As of January 2017, Flavia and Sam will be spending a significant amount of their time at The Capital and look forward to becoming part of the Little Tokyo Two’s community.
The Little Tokyo Two partnership is an initiative of the Talent First Fund – a fund established by Talent to provide the Australian start-up community discounted recruitment services to the value of $1 million, announced at the Talent Unleashed Awards earlier this year to continue supporting game-changing start-ups, individuals and organisations across the global tech sector.
This partnership follows another recent collaboration with Tank Stream Labs in Sydney.
