Meet Caroline Mohenoa – Auckland

Most people throughout their careers will deal with a recruiter to find a job at some point. Finding a new role can be a stressful process for anybody regardless of how many interviews they’ve previously had. Our recruiters work to get to know their candidates and place them in the best role.  In this role reversal we get to know our Recruiters in Auckland both at work, and in their personal lives.

Caroline Mohenoa, Candidate Manager – Auckland

What makes you want to come to work at Talent every day?

The team!  It’s always better when you like who you work with.

What is your fondest moment at Talent International?

Getting awesome feedback from a candidate about their experience with me as a candidate manager. It’s always nice to hear from the people I help that I’m doing a good job.

What have you learnt in your time in your role as candidate manager?

A lot! Having come into this role with no IT experience, I think I’m doing alright and continue learning! The longer I’m with Talent the more I don’t get so lost when people start talking in IT jargon.

What is your biggest accomplishment at Talent?

Making my first placement!

What did you think you’d be doing in high school compared to what you actually do now?

A hairdresser, which I did for 7 years after I left high school then changed careers.

What’s an interesting hobby or skill you have?

I can corn braid hair.

Who’s been your biggest influence in life?

My family.

Something nobody at work would know about you?

I like to bake – just don’t have much time to do it these days.
